Facilities Technician 2 - Electrical & HVAC - Roosevelt Field

Summary

The Maintenance Technician II helps lead facilities maintenance across multiple Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations. This role maintains safe, business-ready stores by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building systems and equipment, while mentoring technicians and supporting the Facility Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform planned preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs for building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, and building control issues; monitor systems and respond to alarms.
• Conduct equipment rounds, document maintenance, update CMMS records, and maintain parts inventory.
• Support vendor coordination, parts ordering, meetings, and store leadership communications.
• Promote safe work practices, respond to emergencies, and mentor and train other technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or college education preferred.
• At least 5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
• At least 5 years of experience with HVAC and refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot controls and electromechanical systems, work independently, and manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CMMS and ordering systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and lift 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
