Summary

The Facilities Technician II helps lead maintenance work to keep Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom Rack locations safe and ready for business. The role performs and coordinates preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and building-system monitoring while mentoring other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform scheduled and on-demand preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Monitor building controls, conduct equipment rounds, identify malfunctions, and document work in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors, order parts, maintain inventory, and assist with administrative and project tasks.
• Promote safe work practices, respond to emergencies, and mentor and train other technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or college degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
• At least 5 years of experience with HVAC and refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot building systems, work independently, communicate effectively, and use Microsoft Office and CMMS tools.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours; able to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical work.
