Facilities Technician 2 - Electrical and HVAC - The Oaks

Summary

The Facilities Technician II helps maintain safe, business-ready environments across multiple stores and Nordstrom Rack locations. This lead technician performs and coordinates maintenance, troubleshoots building systems, supports facility operations, and mentors other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance and respond to service requests involving building equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, and building control issues.
• Monitor building systems, conduct equipment rounds, and document malfunctions and maintenance activity.
• Support parts ordering, vendor coordination, inventory, meetings, and maintenance system records.
• Promote safe work practices, mentor technicians, and assist with technical training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or college education preferred.
• At least 5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
• At least 5 years of experience with HVAC and refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot controls, work independently, communicate effectively, and use Microsoft Office and maintenance systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and perform physical tasks, including lifting 50 pounds or more.
