Facilities Technician 3 - West Coast Omni Center

Summary

The Facilities Technician 3 supports preventative maintenance and repairs for building and material handling systems. This role troubleshoots complex equipment issues, helps manage maintenance projects, and mentors service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyors, material handling systems, and electrical and electronic controls.
• Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures and document work orders, labor, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Develop work plans for emergency repairs and communicate equipment status to operations leaders and maintenance teams.
• Promote workplace safety and mentor technicians through guidance and training.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of material handling equipment and power, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs; robotic knowledge is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort using technology and web-based applications.
• Ability to move up to 49 pounds and stand or walk during shifts of up to 12 hours.
• An associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field is preferred.
