Financial Accountant

Summary

The Financial Accountant will support the finance team by managing accounts receivable, intercompany invoicing, inventory valuation, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This on-site role in Cambridge, Ontario contributes to accurate financial records, tax compliance, and timely financial reporting. The position requires strong ERP and Excel skills, familiarity with Canadian tax regulations, and the ability to support audits and provide financial analysis to management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process accounts receivable including intercompany invoicing and reporting
• Perform daily bank clearing and comprehensive bank reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries and assist with the month-end close
• Conduct month-end inventory valuation and related adjustments
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and develop KPI reporting
• Reconcile and file HST and PST returns and support corporate income tax provisions
• Support internal and external audits and maintain internal controls

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in financial accounting roles
• Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS and Canadian tax regulations
• Experience with ERP systems (eg SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Understanding of inventory management, production costs, and cost accounting; manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
