Furniture Pack And Ship Associate I

Summary

Apply protective packing materials to completed upholstery pieces and assist with shipping to meet required specifications. Operate packing equipment and support loading and other duties across the packing and shipping area while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely apply packaging materials to completed upholstery pieces.
• Assemble trays and boxes just in time during packing.
• Operate overhead lifts and use staple, shrink wrap and tape guns.
• Assist with shipping processes and load trucks as needed.
• Perform other duties required within the packing and shipping area.
• Read production tickets to ensure correct orders and packing materials.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

• At least 6 months prior experience in a similar packing and shipping role.
• Knowledge of upholstery packing and shipping techniques.
• Ability to read production tickets and follow packing specifications.
• Adequate communication skills to interact with team members.
• Ability to multitask with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift and mobilize furniture and accessories over 100 pounds using appropriate equipment.
