General Manager

Summary

The General Manager leads the store to deliver an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, margin and overall profitability. This role builds and develops store leadership and teams, executes strategic initiatives, and ensures brand standards and operational excellence. The manager is accountable for talent strategy, community engagement and store performance.

Responsibilities

• Own sales and profit performance to meet sales and margin goals.
• Plan and execute company initiatives and local store strategies to optimize results.
• Develop and coach store leadership and staff, including recruiting and retention.
• Create and maintain a consistent customer experience and client development strategy.
• Manage inventory, shrink, productivity standards and store presentation.
• Promote use of selling technologies and provide feedback to cross-functional partners on category trends.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent a plus; retail management experience in a high-volume or specialty environment preferred.
• Proven track record of driving results and building strong customer and team relationships.
• Strong planning, prioritization and business acumen skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, operate register and perform physical tasks including standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible schedule availability including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel.
