Summary
The HR Data Transformation Intern will support the modernization of people analytics infrastructure by bridging business operations and HR data to translate organizational challenges into actionable quantitative insights. This role will help scale data frameworks, optimize reporting capabilities, and support analytics initiatives that inform workforce strategy across corporate and retail employee ecosystems. The intern will work closely with HR business partners, People Solutions, Client Services, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver dashboards, data engineering, and analytic deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to enhance visibility into people data and organizational insights.
- Partner with the Client Services team to execute a comprehensive data capstone project and translate operational challenges into scalable analytical solutions.
- Clean, transform, and analyze large-scale HR datasets using SQL, Python, and advanced Excel to support continuous process improvements.
- Assist in architecting and maintaining data pipelines to extract, transform, and load employee and business data.
- Automate reporting workflows and optimize data processing scripts to improve efficiency and data integrity.
- Translate quantitative findings into clear narratives and visual presentations for non-technical stakeholders and support exploratory analyses and emerging AI initiatives.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate or graduate student or recent graduate pursuing a related degree (data analytics, HR technology, statistics, computer science, or similar).
- Relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, HR technology, or related project-based work.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI and data visualization; strong technical capability in SQL and Python.
- Experience working with large datasets and advanced Excel (Power Query, complex lookups, or VBA).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings for business stakeholders and a collaborative mindset.
- Able and willing to work on site 4–5 days per week between the New York corporate office and the Piscataway Client Services location and commit to full-time hours (up to 37.5 hours/week) from September to December 2026.
