IT Infrastructure & Network Specialist

Summary

The IT Infrastructure & Network Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure and locally hosted servers for offices, stores, and warehouses. The role focuses on improving resilience, maximizing network performance, troubleshooting outages, and supporting specialized hardware used by the business. The specialist works closely with on-site engineers, IT teams, and third-party partners to ensure reliable operations and adherence to SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and install network devices, servers, and services including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues and outages, and schedule upgrades to optimize reliability
• Provide remote and on-site support to engineers and end users during installation, maintenance, and decommissioning
• Collaborate with IT architects, other IT professionals, and third-party partners to resolve issues and deploy projects
• Support IT infrastructure projects as part of the Infrastructure Service Desk and report operational status
• Secure network systems by defining and enforcing access policies and manage IP addressing and capacity in hosted environments

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in network and infrastructure support for enterprise or retail environments
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and server hardware
• Proven troubleshooting skills, network monitoring, and outage resolution experience
• Experience with capacity management, IP addressing audits, and managing hosted devices in data centers
• Strong collaboration, communication, and project management skills with adherence to SLAs
