Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager sells and teaches beauty services for an assigned brand, driving sales through in-store and digital channels while delivering personalized customer experiences. This role manages vendor events, maintains counter presentation, and builds customer loyalty through product recommendations and Nordstrom Rewards enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses while recommending products to meet customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools such as text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support business results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in loyalty program
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Maintain counter organization and cleanliness to keep department customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent customer connection skills with ability to handle concerns and contribute to team environment

- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to be on feet 6-8 hours per shift and lift up to 25 pounds
