The Interim Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experiences for an assigned men's fragrances brand at a store counter, balancing selling and teaching responsibilities. This role focuses on driving counter performance through personalized makeup and fragrance consultations, digital and in-store selling, event coordination, and vendor collaboration while maintaining a customer-ready environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and fragrance consultations tailored to customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize sales results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and assist customers with loyalty program enrollment
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Keep the department organized, clean and customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends, products and training provided by the company and brand partners
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including trends, makeup application and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns with empathy
- Strong multitasking, organization and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and familiarity with networking and technology for selling
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds
