Job Description

Summary

The Interim Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experiences for an assigned men's fragrances brand at a store counter, balancing selling and teaching responsibilities. This role focuses on driving counter performance through personalized makeup and fragrance consultations, digital and in-store selling, event coordination, and vendor collaboration while maintaining a customer-ready environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and fragrance consultations tailored to customer goals
  • Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
  • Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize sales results
  • Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and assist customers with loyalty program enrollment
  • Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Keep the department organized, clean and customer-ready
  • Stay current on beauty trends, products and training provided by the company and brand partners

Requirements

  • Passion for customer service and beauty including trends, makeup application and skincare
  • Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns with empathy
  • Strong multitasking, organization and follow-through skills
  • Drive to achieve sales goals and familiarity with networking and technology for selling
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds
