Job Description

Summary

The Interim Operations Manager leads and develops a distribution center team to deliver safety, quality, and performance while meeting financial targets. This role manages roughly 20 employees and drives results through coaching, performance management, process improvement, and use of warehouse systems. The position supports budgeting, monitors expenditures, and implements corrective actions to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead develop and grow performance of a team of about 20 employees
  • Recruit select onboard and train warehouse staff
  • Drive warehouse associate results through coaching counseling and discipline
  • Own process improvement efforts using problem solving and project management
  • Monitor and drive KPI metrics 4DX and facility performance scorecards
  • Provide annual budget information monitor expenditures and identify variances
  • Use warehouse management software and databases to support operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of warehouse experience in a managerial role
  • Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement actions
  • Demonstrated experience developing others and leadership competencies
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Ability to analyze data and determine improvement actions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
