Summary
Support flow and optimization of warehouse operations within a fulfillment distribution center by assisting the Operations Manager with shift readiness, monitoring productivity and metrics, leading safety and operational tasks, and supporting process improvements and handoffs between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Support department goals for safety quality and performance while driving efficiency and flow
- Create daily assignments and project actions and reassign team members to meet priorities
- Monitor productivity and communicate hourly goals and progress to team and managers
- Lead start of shift meetings update communication boards and support end of shift duties
- Complete safety observations and model safe behavior and judgement
- Coordinate with safety facilities ICQA and training to meet business needs
- Maintain daily work trackers to ensure strong hand offs between shifts
Requirements
- 1+ years of warehouse experience in a fulfillment or distribution center
- Well developed time management skills and ability to prioritize
- Deep understanding of multiple warehouse departments processes and flow
- Maintain a sense of urgency and strong follow through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Outlook Word and warehouse management systems
- Excellent customer service orientation and team player attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
