Summary
Experienced Interior Designer providing residential design services to gallery clients, creating original concepts and managing projects from initial meeting through delivery. The role involves client-facing consultations in-gallery and in-home, overseeing installations, and achieving design-driven sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create original residential interior designs using space plans, sketches and visual presentations
- Determine design objectives based on architecture, environment and client lifestyle
- Meet with clients in-gallery and in-home and manage multiple design projects of varying size
- Oversee all phases of the client experience from initial contact through delivery and installation
- Support and teach daily client interactions and ensure fiscal goals are met through design projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience in a firm or high-end furniture or luxury retail environment
- Professional portfolio required; Art, Architecture or Interior Design degree preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and space-planning/rendering programs
- Hands-on installation experience and strong hand-rendering/graphic presentation skills preferred
- Leadership or business experience, project management experience, and proficiency with Mac, Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Licensed to drive and ability to travel locally or out of state; ability to lift items up to 25 lbs and perform gallery physical tasks
