Summary
Provide luxury residential interior design services to walk-in and in-home clients at a gallery location, creating original designs that reflect the brand point of view. Lead multiple design projects from initial consultation through delivery, driving design business and meeting fiscal goals. Use strong presentation and space-planning skills to develop tailored solutions for clients.
Responsibilities
- Create original residential interior designs using floor plans, sketches and visual presentations.
- Determine design objectives considering architecture, environment and client lifestyle.
- Meet with clients both in gallery and in-home and master daily client interactions.
- Lead and oversee multiple design projects of various sizes and manage all phases from initial contact through delivery.
- Drive gallery design consulting to achieve fiscal and business goals and mentor others in the design point of view.
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience within a design firm or high-end furniture and luxury retail preferred.
- Professional portfolio required; Art, Architecture or Interior Design degree preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other space planning and rendering programs; strong graphic and presentation skills.
- Hands-on interior installation experience and hand rendering/sketching capabilities preferred.
- Leadership or business experience and successful project management preferred; proficiency with Mac OS, Microsoft Office and Google applications.
- Licensed to drive preferred; ability to travel and lift/move up to 25 lbs and maneuver around gallery as required.
