Summary
Intern within the General Accounting department responsible for recording, reporting, and reconciling cash transactions across US and Canadian operations. This role performs daily and monthly cash tasks including categorizing treasury files, recording wires and deposits, performing bank reconciliations, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve reconciling items.
Responsibilities
- Organize daily bank files from Treasury into cash tracking files.
- Record cash movements for wires and ensure timely application.
- Collect and deposit checks received from business partners.
- Perform bank reconciliations for US and Canadian accounts including concentration and store deposit accounts.
- Collaborate with accounts payable and receivable to record bank activities and resolve reconciling items.
- Analyze overshort activity and partner with sales audit to investigate potential fraud.
- Record and reconcile cash pooling activities between entities and LVMH.
- Support education note accounting and collections on delinquent repayments.
Requirements
- Obtained or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proficient Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional and international teams.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Flexible availability for month end and special project work.
