Inventory Control Specialist - Americana Manhasset

Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist at the Hermès Manhasset boutique is responsible for managing store inventory, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, and supporting cycle counts and bi-annual inventories. The role ensures accurate receiving, ticketing, documentation and after-sales processing to maintain inventory integrity and support the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Receive packages and merchandise and process them into inventory the same business day.
• Print and ticket merchandise, returns and price updates.
• Generate packing, shipping, transfers and RTVs accurately and maintain proper documentation.
• Organize, participate in and reconcile weekly cycle counts and bi-annual inventories.
• Process and follow up on after-sales service and manage damaged merchandise inventory.
• Maintain neat filing systems and accurate inventory records.
• Order and maintain shipping, selling and store supplies and analyze replenishment needs to support the selling process.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in operations; luxury retail experience preferred.
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication and the ability to analyze information and problem-solve.
• Experienced with inventory systems and external shipping software programs.
• Awareness of asset protection and inventory control best practices.
• Ability to lift 0-25 lbs. without assistance and to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
