Inventory Planner

Summary

The Inventory Planner will manage inventory strategies and replenishment for the Home Office, ensuring product availability while optimizing inventory levels. This role works cross functionally with merchandising, supply chain, and store teams to align inventory with demand and financial targets. The planner will analyze sales and inventory data to drive forecasting and purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain inventory plans to meet sales and service goals.
• Forecast demand using historical sales and trend analysis.
• Recommend replenishment and allocation strategies to optimize stock levels.
• Collaborate with merchandising and supply chain on purchase orders and timing.
• Monitor inventory performance and identify opportunities to reduce excess and obsolescence.
• Prepare regular reports and present inventory metrics to stakeholders.
• Support markdown and promotional planning from an inventory perspective.
• Work with systems and tools to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
• Experience with inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with planning tools.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate findings.
• Experience in retail or home furnishings is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
