Summary
Monitor alarm systems and security feeds from the Asset Protection Operations Center, support overnight business operations, respond to incidents and escalate as needed, and provide basic asset protection support to corporate employees and other Nordstrom properties.
Responsibilities
- Monitor computer terminals for third party access, security, intrusion, and building alarms during assigned shift
- Maintain a daily log of events and escalate incidents to appropriate partners
- Monitor critical incidents in real time and respond to emergency situations including in-progress violence and crises
- Collect documentation for security incidents, review and save CCTV video, and complete written reports
- Remotely support access control environments including cameras, burglar alarms, credential administration, and key hardware
- Support projects leveraging physical security infrastructure
- Provide security related support for Nordstrom properties as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve safety and investigate daily issues and discrepancies
Requirements
- Background in security systems
- 2 years in service based security operations preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and planning skills
- Strong collaboration and de escalation skills
- Good situational awareness and ability to adapt to changing environments
- Ability to maintain a calm presence during incidents and drive necessary support
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, internet, and access control systems
