Summary
Protect company assets from fraud and internal and external loss through observation, CCTV monitoring, apprehension of shoplifters, investigations, audits, and support of operations related to inventory and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Routinely walk the sales floor to observe and identify dishonest persons
- Monitor and dispatch via CCTV and apprehend shoplifters and maintain records
- Conduct internal investigations and testify at criminal proceedings as appropriate
- Perform periodic POS audits and analyze transactional reporting
- Support inventory counts shortage programs and management of unsaleables
- Respond to emergencies and ensure timely follow up reporting
- Provide audit support to ensure compliance and minimize loss due to paperwork errors
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and cyber security measures
Requirements
- College degree or secondary diploma equivalent
- 2-3 years experience in a similar capacity
- Previous retail experience
- Kinesic interview or other interrogation training and ability to testify
- Maintain provincial guard license and standard first aid CPR OPA Level II
- Fully bilingual in French and English
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel PowerPoint and Word
