Job Description

Summary

As a Jewelry Repair Artisan you will restore, refine, and preserve fine jewelry to CHANEL’s exacting standards. You will work closely with Aftersales, Quality, and Boutique teams to ensure repairs meet aesthetic and craftsmanship requirements while maintaining confidentiality and workshop standards. The role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to high-value piece handling.

Responsibilities

  • Perform jewelry alterations and repairs including high-precision polishing, rhodium plating of white gold, chain sizing, clasp replacement, adding/removing posts, ring sizing, and mechanical engraving.
  • Execute polishing and finishing on 18kt gold and platinum pieces and perform rhodium plating post-polishing.
  • Identify and report potential risks, defects, quality, or authenticity issues to Aftersales supervisors and management.
  • Maintain workstations, tools, and polishing equipment to luxury workshop standards and support inventory control of repair materials and spare parts.
  • Collaborate with Aftersales repair teams, quality control, and management to meet turnaround timelines and log repairs accurately.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years professional experience as a jeweler polisher or in luxury jewelry/high-end craftsmanship environments.
  • Expert knowledge of precious metals (gold alloys, platinum, silver), polishing techniques, and experience with polishing equipment and laser welder.
  • Strong manual dexterity, steady hands, excellent visual acuity, and ability to stand and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Computer literacy for repair tracking and claims management, strong attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism in handling high-value client property.
  • Ability to work five days in person at the designated workplace and participate in technical training as required.
