Summary
Lead financial reporting, planning, and project cost management for the construction portfolio, ensuring disciplined budgeting, transparent cost tracking, and alignment with strategic and fiscal goals. Partner with cross functional teams to drive excellence and accountability across the construction project lifecycle. Provide analysis and insights to support data driven decision making and continuous improvement of financial workflows.
Responsibilities
- Review track and report comprehensive in house construction budgets in partnership with Pre Construction and Construction teams
- Establish and maintain cost controls and reporting frameworks for real time project financial visibility
- Prepare and deliver monthly and ad hoc financial reports with analysis for leadership
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure accuracy consistency and timeliness of reporting
- Review change orders and purchase orders with Construction leadership to protect budget integrity
- Identify and implement process improvements and technology tools to enhance efficiency and cost accuracy
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence across financial workflows
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in construction finance cost management or project controls
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Finance or related field preferred
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills with a solutions oriented mindset
- Proficiency with financial systems cost tracking tools and project management software such as Procore Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks maintain timelines and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment
- Sound understanding of construction terminology processes budgeting and change order and purchase order processing
- Availability for occasional domestic and international travel and flexible hours including evenings or weekends
