Leader, Floor Operations

Summary

Lead hands-on upholstery manufacturing operations at the LA-based Downey workroom, driving production performance, craftsmanship, and quality. Translate leadership priorities into daily production plans, optimize workflow, and maintain a strong floor presence to resolve production issues and ensure timely output. Partner with cross-functional teams including Planning, Maintenance, Product Development, and Supply Chain to support uninterrupted production flow.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production flows and staffing through hands-on supervision and real-time problem solving.
• Drive workflow optimization and production scheduling to meet daily output targets and quality standards.
• Coach, develop, and hold production teams accountable to safety, craftsmanship, and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with SVP of Production, Planning, Maintenance, Product Development, and Supply Chain to align forecasts and execution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience in upholstery, furniture, or related manufacturing environments with direct production team oversight.
• Proven expertise in production scheduling, workflow management, labor efficiency, and performance reporting.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and practical problem-solving on the floor.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to escalate issues and align cross-functional teams.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish; ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
