Summary
The Home Delivery Leader will lead operational excellence across warehouse and home delivery functions, provide strategic oversight to delivery teams, manage vendor performance, and align delivery experiences with luxury service standards. This role involves P&L accountability, continuous improvement initiatives, and resolving escalated customer issues while supporting team development.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, train, mentor, and develop direct reports to optimize performance
- Strategically plan and oversee daily workflow across all delivery and warehouse functions
- Own P&L management including analysis and reporting
- Manage performance of home delivery and logistics vendors against cost service and quality metrics
- Drive continual improvement through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Address and resolve escalated customer service issues promptly
- Align home delivery experience with gallery luxury service standards
- Visit clients within assigned geographic territory as needed
- Ensure compliance with background MVR and drug screening requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in furniture home delivery warehouse operations or similar field
- Experience leading third party carrier providers
- Proven ability to hire train coach and manage employee performance
- Knowledge of P&L profit margins accounting and related business processes
- Strong written oral communication analytical problem solving and decision making skills
- Computer literacy with daily use of MS Word and Excel
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Ability to visit clients in assigned geographic territory
