Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic will coordinate and perform in-house project and fabrication work, repair and maintain process and building equipment, and assist the Building Operations Supervisor with the Preventative Maintenance Program, parts inventory, and Building Management System tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete project and fabrication work as assigned by the Building Operations Supervisor.
- Coordinate tasks, procure necessary parts and supplies, and communicate with requestors.
- Repair and maintain HVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment, electrical and lighting systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on process and building equipment per program guidelines.
- Assist in maintenance and management of the Building Management System.
- Assist in implementation and management of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Respond to building-related emergency calls after hours as needed.
- Work flexible hours including off-shift, weekends and overtime as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong electrical and troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of wastewater treatment equipment and technology.
- Ability to use power tools and craft equipment; may require heavy lifting.
- Good computer skills; PLC experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, verbal and written.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and work flexible hours.
