Maintenance Tech 2 - Seattle/Seatac Area

The Maintenance Technician II at Nordstrom will lead a team to ensure a safe and well-maintained store environment for customers and employees. This role supports the Facility Manager in preparing stores for daily business, handling HVAC, building systems, and responding to maintenance requests across multiple Nordstrom locations.

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as loading and moving materials.
• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Act as a representative of the facilities team in meetings and vendor interactions.
• Complete and document preventative maintenance routines.
• Assist with technical training of new employees.
• Update maintenance management systems and maintain parts inventory.
• Communicate and coordinate work with contractors and vendors.

• High School Diploma/GED; vocational degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks.
