Summary
The Maintenance Technician II leads and mentors a facilities team to maintain safe, operational store environments across multiple stores and rack locations, supporting the Facility Manager in daily readiness, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and administrative coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on-demand and scheduled preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and controls.
- Operate and monitor building controls and respond to EMCS alarms and building system issues.
- Perform equipment rounds, document findings, and update the computerized maintenance management system.
- Assist with parts ordering, PO creation, vendor coordination, and project meetings.
- Mentor and train technicians and act in place of the Facility Manager when needed.
- Respond to location emergencies and support safe work practices including LOTO and PPE compliance.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, loading, and moving materials.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; vocational or associate degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
- 5+ years conducting predictive and preventive maintenance and working with HVAC and refrigeration.
- Experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and electromechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with CMMS and ordering systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work without supervision, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more and perform physical tasks.
