Maintenance Technician 2

The Maintenance Technician II at Nordstrom will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and well-maintained store environment for both customers and employees. This position involves supporting the Facility Manager in preparing stores for daily operations and maintaining equipment and systems across multiple Nordstrom locations.

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to store operations.
• Operate and monitor building controls and systems.
• Conduct equipment and building rounds, identifying and reporting malfunctions.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as loading and moving materials.
• Assist with administrative tasks including parts ordering and vendor management.
• Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures.
• Document maintenance routines and mentor other technicians.
• Respond to location emergencies and update maintenance management systems.
• Communicate and coordinate work with contractors and vendors.

• High School Diploma/GED; vocational degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of hands-on facilities experience with mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
• Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy loads.
