Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store asset protection teams including recruiting, development, performance oversight and budgeting. This role executes shrinkage reduction strategy, ensures safety and security of employees, prevents theft, and partners with cross functional store leaders to support retail asset protection objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop asset protection team members and manage performance
- Execute organizational and shrink reduction strategies within the store
- Own building security and safety and educate staff on emergency preparedness
- Monitor, report and document AP incidents and cases accurately
- Use data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Lead execution of company shrink programs and directives
- Hire and develop talent for investigations, auditing and shortage reduction programs
- Leverage reporting to identify risks and implement loss prevention controls
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures
- Prior asset protection leadership experience
- Knowledge of exception based reporting tools and case management software
- Strong decision making and problem solving under high stress situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, delegation and follow through skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced retail environment
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
