Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection leads store Asset Protection teams to prevent theft and ensure safety and security. This role oversees recruiting, development, performance, budgeting and execution of shrinkage reduction strategies while partnering with cross functional store leaders to support retail asset protection goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Asset Protection team members including hiring and performance oversight
- Execute company shrink reduction programs and directives
- Act as owner of building security and emergency preparedness
- Monitor and ensure proper reporting and documentation of AP incidents and cases
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Lead investigations and case management for theft and dishonesty issues
- Collaborate with store leadership including Store Manager, Inventory and HR
- Manage budgets and department priorities to maximize profitability
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative asset protection and prior AP leadership
- Experience with Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management software
- Strong decision making and problem solving in high stress situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship building skills
- Organizational, delegation and follow through abilities
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on store needs
