Manager, Fashion Expertise

Summary

The Manager, Fashion Expertise is responsible for transmitting the House's creative vision to boutique teams across the Los Angeles market, primarily based at Saks Beverly Hills. This role delivers in-boutique and off-floor training, coaches Style and Fashion Advisors, and partners with Boutique Leadership to elevate client experience and styling standards. The manager supports multiple boutiques, drives digital learning adoption, and acts as the liaison between Fashion Expertise Home Office and retail teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver interactive in-boutique training on collections, product knowledge, and luxury service standards.
• Coach Style Advisors and Fashion Advisors to develop personalized styling skills and enhance client relationships.
• Animate styling workshops, evaluate training effectiveness, and co-create development plans with Boutique Leadership.
• Promote and track completion of monthly digital learning content and provide qualitative feedback to Home Office.
• Support onboarding of new hires and guide talent progression toward advisor and management roles.
• Partner with boutique leaders on service indicators, VOC insights, and strategies to support business objectives.
• Travel frequently across boutiques within the market to deliver coaching and sustain boutique performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in luxury fashion, retail, or hospitality.
• Proven experience in retail training, coaching, and evaluating staff performance.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated styling expertise and confident fashion sensibility.
• Ability to lift 15 lbs, walk and stand for extended periods, and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; ability to travel frequently across the market.
