Summary
Operational HR leader responsible for delivery of core HR programs across store locations and the central office including employee relations, health and safety, disability and absence management, policy administration, benefits, training, and compliance. Drives consistent execution of programs to enhance the associate experience and support frontline operations within a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day employee relations cases and guide leaders and associates through workplace issues.
- Oversee health and safety programs, compliance, audits, and claims management nationally.
- Manage disability and leave processes and facilitate return-to-work plans.
- Maintain and review HR policies and translate updates into associate-facing content.
- Administer benefits and compensation tasks including benchmarking and open enrollment.
- Support training and development initiatives and manage compliance training programs.
- Collaborate with leaders and cross functional teams to drive process improvements.
- Promote company core values and support a high performance culture.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; CHRP asset.
- Minimum of 3 years experience leading HR operational functions and programs.
- Previous retail HR experience strongly preferred.
- Workday or similar HRIS experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with learning authoring tools like Articulate preferred.
- Bilingual English and French considered an asset.
- Knowledge of provincial employment legislation and health and safety regulations.
- Strong customer orientation, collaboration, communication, and problem solving skills.
