Summary
The Manager - Tax Reporting leads global income tax accounting and reporting, overseeing the monthly and annual tax provision in accordance with IAS 12 and managing current and deferred tax calculations for domestic and international entities. This role directs income tax forecasting, effective tax rate analysis, and tax compliance while driving process improvements and providing leadership to the tax team. The position follows a hybrid schedule requiring four days in-office in Whippany, NJ and one remote day.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly and annual global tax provision and ensure accuracy of global income tax accounting and reporting in accordance with IAS 12.
- Coordinate preparation and review of current and deferred tax calculations for domestic and international entities.
- Oversee effective tax rate (ETR) analysis, tax account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain documentation for active global tax audits, uncertain tax positions, and IAS 12/IAS 37 reserves.
- Research and document tax accounting consequences of new accounting pronouncements, tax law changes, and business transactions.
- Manage income tax forecasting and global cash tax projections in partnership with FP&A and tax colleagues.
- Administer income tax software suite and partner with IT and Controller functions to design systems and lead process improvements.
- Provide training, coaching, and development for tax accounting staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in income tax accounting, including 2+ years in Big Four or large multinational corporations.
- Strong federal and international tax technical and research skills and expertise in ASC 740, FIN 18, IAS 12, FIN 48.
- Proficiency in Thomson OneSource Tax Provision and advanced Excel skills; managerial experience and strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Taxation, CPA or other industry certifications, and experience with JD Edwards E1 and Hyperion Financial Management.
