Master Fitter/Sewer/Tailor

Summary

The Master Fitter/Sewer/Tailor provides fitting and tailoring expertise as part of the store's alterations team. This role delivers personalized customer service and performs alterations on a wide range of luxury garments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct customer fittings and make alterations decisions using tailoring expertise.
• Perform alterations on a broad range of garments and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Build strong customer relationships and support an exceptional customer experience.
• Meet individual productivity goals, follow workroom and company procedures, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Support store and department initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience with high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and alter a wide range of garments.
• Strong technical background in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, or buttonholes preferred.
• Proficiency using standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment, as well as specialty machines.
• Knowledge of alterations, garment fabrication, and luxury merchandise styling.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
