Mechanical Watchmaker - Queens

Summary

The Watchmaker at the Landmark store performs quality servicing and repairs on client owned timepieces, including complex quartz and mechanical movements, and supports other craft work. They communicate repair status and technical concerns to administrative staff and management, and may meet with clients alongside client advisors to address servicing needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs on COM orders for complex quartz and mechanical watch servicing, including polishing
• Communicate status updates to administrative staff and escalate areas of concern to Lead and Management
• Assist other Watchmakers with challenging repairs and troubleshooting
• Identify, requisition, and manage parts required for repairs
• Comply with departmental processes, internal audit, and safety procedures
• Meet with clients as needed, alongside client advisors or store personnel

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional watchmaking experience
• Experience repairing all types of timepieces and performing full-service mechanical and automatic movement repairs
• Proficiency in quartz repairs and polishing; formal training preferred
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving, interpersonal, and written English skills
• Availability to work variable hours, including weekends, as part of a retail schedule
• Preferred: experience in luxury retail and embossing or machine engraving
