Summary
Manage and develop seasonal merchandising and buying plans for Men’s ready to wear for the NY Metro market, partnering with merchandising teams and retail planners to meet sales and inventory targets and align assortments with market trends.
Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal merchandising and buying plans for Men’s RTW with input from local management and Milan team.
- Determine assortment needs for each market and recommend based on business trends.
- Partner with planning and merchandising leaders to review sales inventory targets classification plans and open to buy.
- Recommend pricing strategies and provide market feedback to product teams in Italy.
- Use reporting to analyze product performance and develop category action plans.
- Select and allocate orders into the wholesale system by store and manage stock balance and replenishment.
- Prepare daily weekly monthly and seasonal sales analyses based on history trends and forecasts.
- Coordinate product training for store employees to maximize collection awareness.
- Prepare competitive market studies focusing on products and price positioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of buying or merchandising experience within the luxury sector.
- Preference for at least 3 years of luxury buying experience specific to Men’s RTW.
- Strong retail math analysis and financial planning skills.
- Excellent communication organizational and computer skills.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Ability to travel to domestic retail locations.
