Summary
The Engineering Technician supports new product introduction by creating and maintaining detailed documentation, conducting elemental time studies, and managing NPI reporting and applications such as Wrike and Tulip to ensure approved product packages are released to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Lead elemental time study process and develop product specific work instructions and videos.
- Create and maintain Tulip applications and ensure timely approvals.
- Maintain project folders with CAD, drawings, cost estimates, purchase requisitions, testing and quality reports.
- Facilitate new product planning meetings, agendas, recaps and follow up actions.
- Maintain project document repositories and ensure completion at project end.
- Process and communicate costing scenarios for RFP and identify primary cost drivers.
- Track and maintain CER and expense files and prepare monthly dashboards and ad hoc reports using Wrike.
- Coordinate product data and project requirements including part number setup, BOMs, routes and specifications.
- Measure, collect, analyze and present data to support TWS deliveries and execution.
Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent.
- 2 plus years related experience.
- Experience with document management systems such as Adept.
- Knowledge of GDandT and basic measuring skills.
- Ability to read BOMs and routes and create technical manufacturing documentation.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word Excel Project and OneNote.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Preferred: Bachelor degree in Engineering CAD skills Minitab and JDE or equivalent ERP.
