Operations Associate

Summary

The Operations Associate reports to the Store Director and supports boutique operations in Costa Mesa by managing stockroom functions, shipping and receiving, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role provides timely support to management and sales staff to ensure merchandise availability and efficient store operations.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring quantities match documentation
• Perform routine cycle counts and identify or resolve inventory discrepancies
• Maintain organized stockroom by style, color, and size and maximize available stock space
• Prepare and log outgoing merchandise, maintain the shipping area, and restock packaging supplies
• Provide quick, accurate stock checks and deliver merchandise to the sales floor as requested
• Communicate new arrivals, replenishment, and client returns to management and sales team
• Aid in training new hires on shipping, receiving, and stockroom procedures

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a complex retail stockroom preferred; experience with freight carriers a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional team-oriented attitude
• Basic computer skills; Excel experience preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods, climb a ladder, and lift packages up to 20 lbs regularly
