Summary
The Operations Associate maintains store inventory and stock areas according to company standards, minimizes stock loss, handles shipping and receiving functions, supports record keeping and ordering, and safeguards company assets through proper inventory control and housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Process shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain orderly stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
- Process inbound freight returns transfers and damages per policy
- Support compliance of receiving practices with company policies and standards
- Ensure stock is security tagged to prevent loss
- Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist in floor moves merchandising display maintenance and price changes
- Pack or wrap customers merchandise when necessary
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and merchandise properly
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems
- Ability to operate equipment including inventory control systems and sensor tag remover
- Ability to adjust priorities and manage time in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move handle heavy boxes and fixtures
