Summary
The Temp Operations Associate maintains store inventory and stock areas to company standards, minimizes stock loss, supports shipping and receiving functions, and safeguards company assets through proper inventory control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain orderly stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
- Process inbound freight returns to vendors chargebacks transfers and damages per policy
- Support compliance with receiving practices and record keeping procedures
- Ensure stock is security tagged to prevent loss
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves merchandising display maintenance and housekeeping
- Assist with price changes packing or wrapping customer merchandise when needed
- Attend store meetings and training and perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and properly handle merchandise
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems
- Ability to operate required equipment including sensor tag remover and inventory systems
- Ability to work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move and lift boxes and fixtures
