Operations Manager - The Promenade At Sagemore

Summary

The Operations Manager oversees and directs back-of-house and daily store operations within the showroom, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and smooth execution of processes. This role supports sales efforts through operational excellence, inventory control, and staff onboarding while reporting to the Showroom Director. The manager drives process improvements, loss prevention, and operational compliance to enhance the client experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing procedures and scheduling security.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counts, and reconcile merchandise discrepancies.
• Support the Service Department and coordinate with Repair Manager on repairs and after-sale procedures.
• Train and onboard new hires on company processes, policies, POS systems, and SAP.
• Enforce loss prevention, physical security, cash controls, and inventory management practices.
• Partner with management and visual merchandising to maintain brand image and floor readiness.
• Manage controllable expenses and ensure timely processing of mail, checks, and invoices.

Requirements

• Previous operations experience in a service-related or retail environment.
• High school diploma or college degree.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; digital fluency with POS and SAP preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to perform varied tasks and provide floor coverage as needed.
