As an Optician at Oliver Peoples in Chicago, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that customers find the perfect eyewear. You will be responsible for developing optical skills in others and creating an effective learning environment.

• Provide unsurpassed customer service by following the Sales and Service Process steps.
• Support problem-solving and troubleshooting for customers and associates.
• Engage with patients and customers using technology to enhance their experience.
• Act as a leader in customer service and optical expertise.
• Educate customers on eyewear care, adjustments, and follow-up services.
• Handle tasks such as taking measurements and fitting eyewear accurately.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Operate the Point of Sale terminal accurately and handle various transactions.
• Maintain the store's appearance and ensure visual displays meet company standards.
• Promote a safe working environment for associates and customers.

• State licensure or ABO Certification in non-licensed states.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of optical theory and merchandise.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Sales skills and comfort with technology.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Previous customer service and retail experience preferred.
