SummaryRH is seeking a Payroll Specialist who will provide support with administering specialized payroll functions such as producing biweekly payroll, on-demand checks, and compensation adjustments. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities- Manage daily requirements for final pay and adjustments for off-cycle check process.
- Input updates to Federal and state tax withholding forms, direct deposit enrollments, and wage garnishments received from HR and third-party agencies.
- Participate in the testing and development of enhanced internal controls inclusive of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and post-audit reviews.
- Undertake and execute specialized initiatives and assignments as delegated.
Requirements- 3+ years of Payroll processing experience in a large organization (5,000+ employees) across multiple states.
- Payroll system knowledge, Excel skills, Gmail email management, Business English skills, and experience using UKG Pro and/or Dayforce.
- Recognize the importance of handling highly confidential information, and must have excellent judgment and organization skills.
- Understanding of payroll-related regulations (wage and hour laws, IRS rules regarding supplemental wages, legal guidelines for wage garnishments, etc.).
- Meet deadlines with the ability to multi-task and be effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in a retail payroll environment is preferred.
