Summary
The Personal Shopper represents the highest level of sales and service, working on a full-commission basis with earnings tied to performance. The role is expected to generate a minimum of $1.5M in annual sales and provides private and on-site styling and wardrobing services to high-value clients. The Personal Shopper builds and maintains an active client base, delivers tailored product expertise, and upholds in-store visual and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Sell across the entire store and style customers from head to toe
- Cultivate, acquire, and retain high-value clients and build a loyal personal client base
- Provide private shopping and on- and off-site selling and service to clients
- Demonstrate product and style expertise to meet customer needs
- Maintain and update customer profiles and information in store systems
- Ensure private shopping suites and areas meet visual standards
- Communicate regularly with clients via phone, mail, and electronic methods about events and follow-ups
- Attend product and vendor education sessions and partner with Buying and Exclusive Services teams
- Resolve customer service issues and escalate when necessary; comply with health, safety, and privacy policies
Requirements
- Proven ability to exceed sales targets and meet aggressive sales goals
- Established high-value customer base with a minimum sales value of $1.5M
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a commission sales environment
- Knowledge of wardrobing and styling techniques and strong product expertise
- Excellent relationship-building skills and emotional intelligence in selling
- Entrepreneurial, competitive, self-motivated, and highly collaborative
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
