Summary
The Planner drives sales performance and optimizes inventory for beauty products at the retailer through sales planning, forecasting, inventory and order management, and cross-functional collaboration with merchandising, marketing, and operations to support product launches and promotions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain category sales plans and forecasts.
- Analyze weekly sales performance and prepare reports with insights and recommendations.
- Track sales against targets and maintain door productivity and Mix of Business reporting.
- Manage inventory strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize excess.
- Oversee weekly order processes, purchase order logs, shipments, and rebooking of cut-from-inventory items.
- Coordinate with retailer contacts on stock levels, discontinuations, and promotional activities.
- Support new product introductions with allocation, pricing, and promotional planning.
- Maintain systems and data including PIM, Simplifield, and retailer portals for reporting and set up of new items.
- Act as point of contact for the sales force communicating launches, merchandising guidelines, and shipping information.
Requirements
- 5+ years of planning and execution experience for retail events and programs.
- Experience working with Macys Beauty retailer preferred.
- Strong knowledge of beauty and fragrance brands and merchandising to sales.
- Excellent relationship building, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with forecasting, inventory management, and reporting systems.
- Knowledge of Dior brand and willingness to travel as needed.
