Product Developer

As a Product Developer, you will drive the development of Nordstrom-owned private label products, working in a hybrid role based in Seattle, WA. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to create seasonal assortments that meet cost and quality standards.

• Develop products engineered to cost standards and review prototypes for quality and design intent.
• Meet product development milestones and manage pre-production tracking and reporting.
• Negotiate with vendors throughout the product lifecycle, including costing and timelines.
• Create and manage tech packs and prototypes with accurate PLM system updates.
• Place developed styles according to the Sourcing Strategy and provide recommendations for evolution.
• Review and reconcile failed garment and fabric test reports.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product development, design, or production in garment manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of raw materials and garment construction.
• Experience with domestic and international manufacturers and strong negotiation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook, with experience in Adobe Illustrator and Product Lifecycle Management preferred.
