Summary
The Product Manager 2 will lead product strategy and delivery for merchandise financial planning capabilities, owning the roadmap for Toolio and managing the migration from legacy planning systems. This hybrid Seattle role partners with the Toolio vendor, internal engineering, planners, and merchants to deliver measurable value and maintain system health during transition. The role emphasizes retail math fluency, user research, and metrics-driven product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the financial planning product roadmap within Toolio, prioritizing features and quarterly priorities aligned to strategy.
- Own delivery for capabilities such as OTB management, Spend Controls, and Price Type Planning, balancing near-term execution and long-term evolution.
- Support legacy planning applications during migration to ensure continuity of service and platform stability.
- Translate user journeys into user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, and process flows.
- Partner with Toolio vendor and internal engineering to manage dependencies and deliver iterative value.
- Define and monitor success metrics, OKRs, and KPIs to measure delivery health and business outcomes.
- Conduct user research with planners and merchants and support go-to-market activities including UAT, change management, and post-launch validation.
- Leverage AI tools to synthesize research, draft requirements, and identify patterns in user feedback.
Requirements
- 3+ years of retail experience with direct exposure to merchandise financial planning.
- 3+ years of product management or equivalent experience, ideally with enterprise or internal-tools software.
- Working knowledge of retail math (OTB, turn, IMU, sell-through, BOP/EOP, receipt flow, Spend Controls).
- Familiarity with Toolio, Oracle MFP, Blue Yonder, or comparable MFP platforms preferred.
- Analytical skills with ability to define, measure, and analyze planning processes and metrics.
- Basic technical knowledge of software development principles, Agile methodologies, and testing frameworks.
- Strong verbal and written communication and demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills.
