Receiving Support Associate

Summary

This part-time Receiving Support Associate supports store operations by receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming merchandise in the backroom. The role ensures accurate inventory intake, timely movement of product to the sales floor or stockroom, and maintains a safe, organized receiving area. The position works closely with store management and stock teams to support daily operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect merchandise for damage and report discrepancies to management.
• Unload trucks and move product using appropriate equipment (pallet jack, hand truck).
• Sort, label, and stage merchandise for distribution to the sales floor and stockroom.
• Maintain a clean, organized backroom and follow safety procedures.
• Accurately record inventory transactions and update inventory systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail receiving, warehouse, or stockroom experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Basic numeric and record-keeping skills; comfortable using handheld scanners and inventory systems.
• Availability for a flexible part-time schedule, including mornings and weekends as needed.
