Receiving Support Associate - Valley Fair

Summary

The Receiving Support Associate is responsible for receiving, processing, and staging incoming merchandise at the Valley Fair store location. This part-time role supports inventory accuracy and the timely movement of product from the backroom to the sales floor while maintaining an organized, safe stockroom. The associate works with operations and merchandise teams to inspect shipments, process returns, and assist with inventory control tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload deliveries, verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders
• Inspect merchandise for damage, sort and stage items for distribution to the sales floor
• Process returns and prepare items for restocking or disposition
• Label, tag, and organize inventory in the backroom to maintain accuracy and accessibility
• Operate material-handling equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and pallet jacks safely
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving and storage areas

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and stand for extended periods
• Basic inventory and computer skills; ability to use handheld scanners or inventory systems
• Prior retail receiving or stockroom experience preferred
• Availability for part-time schedule including weekends and peak seasonal periods
• Follow safety procedures and maintain attention to detail
