Job Description

Summary

The Regional Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the overall security and safety for the Northeast region of North America. Based in a corporate office, this role requires a strong understanding of retail security best practices, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work independently. The manager will oversee security personnel and collaborate with store management and corporate departments to maintain a secure environment for employees and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Implement security policies and procedures for the region, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
  • Manage and oversee the performance of the security team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments of retail locations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with contract guard vendors, law enforcement agencies, and other external partners on security matters.
  • Manage the security budget for the region, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control.
  • Provide security training to store employees on loss prevention, emergency procedures, and active shooter response.
  • Monitor security trends and emerging threats, recommending proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Serve as a point of contact for security-related issues within the region.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to security and safety.
  • Travel to retail locations within the region as needed (30%-50%).
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-store/location security management, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of retail security best practices, loss prevention techniques, and security systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel to retail locations within the region (up to 30%).
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Wicklander or Reid interviewing and integration certification preferred.
  • Experience managing a team of security professionals.
  • Experience working with high-end or luxury retail brands.
